The Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, the signature program of Nationals Philanthropies, delivers holistic youth development programs year round including academic enrichment, physical activity, and health education – imparting a lasting impact on the lives of school-aged children living in Wards 7 and 8.
Join us as we celebrate 10 Days of #GivingTuesday beginning today and running through the annual day of giving on Tuesday, November 30. We will highlight stories of the Academy’s impact through features of its programs and people – beginning with our campus, Scholars, and academic program.
Your support during this time helps us raise critical funds to operate the Academy and sustain our youth development program. All donors of $100 or more will receive a navy winter hat featuring the Academy logo as a special thank you for your support.
Academy Campus
The Academy operates out of a state-of-the-art, nine-acre education and recreation campus constructed in the Fort Dupont Park neighborhood in Ward 7. Opened in March 2014, the campus features an 18,000 square foot “education clubhouse” complete with seven classrooms, a teaching kitchen, and multi-purpose training and education space. The grounds include three lighted, turf fields – two multipurpose youth baseball and softball diamonds and a full 90-foot diamond. The campus plays host to our afterschool academic enrichment, beginner baseball clinics, and competitive baseball and softball teams. The facility is also used year round for fundraising events, community groups, and other local baseball and softball teams.
